They Make Me Feel Insecure

I, like many other teenage girls, have a subscription to Seventeen magazine. I love the great information it has about health, fashion, and boys (<3), but lately I’ve been increasingly upset by the appearance of the stick-thin models that grace the pages of ads and fashion pages. Most girls probably don’t even think about it, but to me, putting bony, lanky women with seemingly “perfect” bodies in magazines is a big mistake. To me, its no worse than subliminal messaging.
