Life comes at you Fast!

Life comes at you Fast!

You ever have that deep feeling in your stomach. The one that just makes your whole body sag in it’s seat, knowing that there is still 30 more mind-crushing minutes left in this pointless class. Those 30 minutes feel like the rest of your life rapped up in a few minutes. But once it’s over, you’re like, “wow, where’d that time go?” That’s what life is like. At some points, you can’t wait till this part of your life is over. Others, you want to last forever. The thing about life is that it always changes, nothing ever stays the same.

Who do you do it for and why?

Who do you do it for and why?

Every second of your life will have a decision, whether it be sitting there doing your homework, or maybe even running. Many of the decisions made by our society lack this question behind it. We do what is expected of us and if we don’t, we’re not always certain why. I know kids my age that are glued to school like their life depended on it. Kids that are going into the military because when they see their military dad, it feels like their life depends on it. There’s kids that smoke weed all day and skip school, but if you ask them “who do you it for and why?” They have no idea who and hardly know why, maybe its only because whoever it is that surrounds them influenced them into making those decisions.

Where are the morals?

Where are the morals?

Morals, these are the things that I assume we are supposed to base most of our life decisions on. Now, the question being asked is how many people actually have them? Or even better, how many people actually have good ones?

The way I see it, if your not twenty one you don’t drink, if marijuana is illegal you don’t smoke it, if your not married you don’t have sex. Now I think its sad that I just lost the majority of the people that were reading this. I have done some things against my morals, but even when I did them, I knew I didn’t really agree with them.

How do you tell someone it’s over?

How do you tell someone it’s over?

I think one of the hardest things to do is let someone, who is obviously incapacitated with something, know that it’s over. You don’t want to be the bearer of bad news and be the one to just say it. Who knows how they’ll react. They could become violent. They could just completely shut down, deny everything you say, even though you’re right. When the thought of losing something you truly care about pops into your head, you just want to fight as hard as possible to keep it, though, none of your effort even matters.

People change.

People change.

As you go through your life you will meet a decent amount of people, some will be very important to you. The question is how long will they be that person you care about, most everyone will change, maybe dramatically or a almost unnoticeable amount. You can think someone is the most perfect person in your mind, but after a year or two, that doesn’t mean anything. I know people that seemed like the most religious, happy, energy filled person I knew and then a year later killed themselves. In most cases its not as extreme, but take time to notice what your friends are involved in right now and how that can change them into a different person.

A Rant on Being Open

A Rant on Being Open

Last semester as I was taking a course called Catholic Social Doctrine, I couldn’t help but feel alone in a room full of die-hard Obama haters that wouldn’t give our newest President the chance to prove that he could amount to something. During the dreaded Socratic Seminars (in which the entire class forms a circle and discusses the topic that the teacher made up), I found myself defending my personal views to the death and quickly became labelled the class’s “liberal tree-hugger.”

If someone is born blind, what do they see when they dream?

If someone is born deaf, what do they hear when they think stuff in their head?

What if all Animals Thought Like Humans?

What if all Animals Thought Like Humans?

Imagine a world ruled by pigs, or cats, or any other animal for that matter. What if animals have us fooled to think that we are in control of this world, when really they are. Think about that for awhile. In the Catholic Bible, who told Eve that if she eats the apple from the forbidden tree, she will get all of God’s powers? A snake! What did the ancient Egyptians worship? Cats!  Who get’s more pampered then basically any human? Dogs! They do nothing but lie around, waiting for their time to strike!  There are tell-tell signs that show us that animals might one day rule the world with their superior knowledge.
